Our Philosophy

  • LEAP is a positive, inspiring organization.  We encourage positive actions, because we know people do more when they are inspired rather than shamed.

  • LEAP is an aggressive organization.  The health of our planet is at risk.  We want to be part of the solution.  However, we will always set goals we believe we can achieve given our resources.

  • LEAP is dependable and professional.  When we say we’ll do something, it gets accomplished in a thoughtful, timely, and professional manner.

  • LEAP is inclined to action.  We want to get positive things done. We talk, research, then act.  If something doesn’t work, we try something else.

  • LEAP is efficient:  We strive to accomplish the most we can with our limited time and resources.

  • LEAP collaborates: We partner with individuals and organizations that help us achieve our goals.

  • LEAP educates.  People want to do the ‘right’ thing, but they often don’t know how to do it.  LEAP fills that gap. LEAP also informs and inspires our children so the next generation can lead the way.

  • LEAP knows it has a lot to learn.   We are not experts.  We are researchers, communicators, facilitators, and motivators.  We find the experts and get the information people need.  We always ask for feedback and ideas. We recognize we can always learn more and get better.

  • LEAP measures results.  The best way to track our progress and improve the quality of our future decisions is to measure results.

  • LEAP is honest and ethical:  We always operate in an honest and ethical manner.

  • LEAP is respectful.  We respect the opinions of members of our community, as well as those who are part of the LEAP organization.  All voices are heard and considered.  We also respect peoples’ time.  All LEAP meetings have agendas, and start and finish on time.

  • LEAP pays it forward.  Many individuals and organizations help LEAP. We always provide ideas and assistance to others that share our vision.  LEAP’s positive impact is multiplied every time we can share what we have learned with others.
