2025 Energy Fair on April 5th has been cancelled due to our venue flooding
Largest Energy Fair in the state
Each April since 2007 our volunteers have hosted the LEAP Energy Fair to help educate local residents, as well as business, municipal, and educational leaders, about ways to reduce emissions, adopt renewable energy, energy efficiency, and shrink energy use and energy bills. This Fair is now the largest such gathering in all of Vermont. In 2019 we had a record turnout of 700 attendees from almost 50 towns.
The LEAP Energy Fair typically includes
More than 65 green energy exhibitors with displays on solar power, weatherization, heat pumps, geothermal, electric vehicles, green building, financing options, pellet stoves, and many other topics
Several hour-long breakout sessions on topics of particular interest
Local food and drink for families, and a free presentation for kids by Marko the Magician
LEAP Green Community awards to local students with the best green energy projects
Special exhibits to highlight local students’ green energy projects
Free electronics recycling for all attendees (some years we collect up to two truckloads of material that are kept out of the waste stream).
