Waterbury in Motion
Waterbury LEAP created a bike/pedestrian program called Waterbury in Motion. Each May and September we organize Walk & Bike to School Days with Thatcher Brook Primary School (TBPS) and Crossett Brook Middle School (CBMS).
200+ kids
Typically, 200-250 children and adults gather at Rusty Parker Park for each event, enjoy breakfast provided by LEAP, and hear about bike/ped projects and upcoming activities. Then bikers and walkers proceed in groups to TBPS or CBMS. These events help encourage an expanded biking and walking culture in Waterbury and Duxbury.
